I wholeheartedly approve of the distinction between preaching the Gospel and preaching religion. The Gospel is a message of hope and redemption, while religion is a set of beliefs and practices. Preaching the Gospel is about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and His love for us, while preaching religion is about teaching a set of beliefs and rules. The Gospel is an invitation to a relationship with God, while religion is a set of rules that can be followed to earn favor with God. Ultimately, the Gospel is about grace and love, while religion is about law and obligation.
